WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ

We are super awkward in front of the camera - will you help us?

Part of my job is understanding how to make you look your best and represent you in the most authentic way possible. The reason I have such an extensive contact form is so that I get to know you before our session. It is so important to me that I understand what makes you unique and what you really want these photos to represent. I have spent countless sessions and hours figuring out the best way to move my clients through the sessions in the most natural way possible. I PROMISE you, you do not need to be a professional model, I know exactly what to do to make your photos turn out the best way possible. Let’s get to know each other so that when it comes time to shoot we are like old best friends.

How far in advance should we book with you?

I suggest anywhere between 6-months to a year out. I HIGHLY recommend booking 1-year out. No matter what, it doesn’t hurt to shoot me an email. For any sort of session, such as engagements, proposals, anniversaries, Portrait etc. Sometimes I have done them with less than a week’s notice. HOWEVER! I do not suggest this, as I send all my clients an extensive preparation guide so that their wedding photos turn-out the best. I recommend booking 30-60 days in advance if you want your portrait photos to be there best. Most importantly what if i are not available on your required date. I don’t want you to feel sad, it’s always better to start talking your earliest. Start talking will not cost you anything! Let’s talk

Do you have back-up equipment?

Yes, I always have double cameras and multiple lenses, it’s exceptionally rare that a technical issue occurs but in the event that it does, I’m covered!

Should I add a second photographer?

Second photographers are ideal for weddings where there are more than 100 guests to ensure more consistent coverage of wedding guests is achieved. It’s also useful to add a photographer when multiple locations are involved. An additional photographer can easily be added to any of the coverage options from different packages. For details feel free to contact us

Does it matter if you haven’t worked at my venue before?

No. If I haven’t worked at a venue before I factor in a venue visit on the morning of the wedding (or before) to familiarise myself.

How long after the wedding will the photographs be ready?

Your images are ready within 3 to 4 weeks following the wedding. I always aim to try and deliver them sooner than this if possible.

How far will you travel?

Anywhere! I love weddings and so I am happy to travel!

Are we able to print our own images?

Yes, these come print ready at high resolution without watermarks, so you do not need to order prints through me.

I wish to tweak my package, is this possible?

Of course. All packages are a guide and we can add or take away items as required and I can provide you with a tailor made quote. Just let me know what you might be looking for.

Do you edit all of the images?

Depending on your package, images are around 600+ individually edited in my own signature style as you see on the website. The only images that do not get edited are duplicate shots, test shots and people blinking! Any above and beyond editing requests such as swapping heads and removing large items wold be charged at extra as per the contract.

WHAT PERCENTAGE OF OUR IMAGES WILL BE IN BLACK AND WHITE?

I will use a combination of colour and black and white images to document your day. The balance varies from wedding to wedding, but on average approximately 5% of the final images will be in black and white. But also U can request for your favorite image to convert black & White.

Do we have a meeting beforehand?

Yes! Normally a month before we would have a phone call or zoom/whtsapp cvideo call to run through the schedule of the day, shot lists for groups and any other requirements and questions.

Whats next ?

Drop me and email and say ‘Hi’ and we can speak about your day. I would love to hear from you.

Do you watermark your images?

No, I have really hated the watermark process, as I feel it can spoil the image. I understand it is good for marketing, so all I ask is that if you do share them on social, just give my company a little tag. I would be very grateful.
